Let’s take a look at what the supermarkets have on offer for vegans this year.

Asda
Asda has some exciting options this year, with starters, mains and desserts covered. For starters, why not try the Breaded Vegan Brie? And for mains, you have the option of the Plant Based Vegan Turkey Crown, which comes with umami stock. To finish off, Asda have also released a hand-moulded Extra Special Vegan Chocolate Bauble; a dairy-free Belgian chocolate ball, filled with chocolate mousse, cookie crumble and an oozy caramel sauce.

Tesco
Tesco is great for vegan options in general, and this Christmas they have a wide range of offerings. Their Wicked Kitchen range is stacked with delicious festive options, with mains like the Maple & Bourbon No-Gammon Joint and No-Beef Wellington. No to mention all the trimmings, such as the Meat-Free Bangers in Blankets, Jewelled Stuffing Balls and

Seasonal Greens.

For desserts, you have the option of the Wicked Kitchen Raspberry & Vanilla Layered Dessert, Outrageous Orange Chocolate Dessert and the Tesco Finest Free From Stem Ginger Tiffin Cracker.

Marks & Spencer
M&S is known for being decadent, and their vegan options certainly don’t disappoint. This year they are bringing back their Vegan Turkey Roast, and well as their Butternut Squash and Pecan Nut Roast, as well as their Vegetable Selection Box. New options this year include the vegetable bakes, mushroom parfait, and even a cookie dessert, which comes with chocolate and cream!

Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s has you covered if you’re a fan of meat-alternatives or if you’re catering for meat-eaters. Their Meat-free Festive Wellington, Turkey-style Crown with Sage and Onion Stuffing, and Meat-free Gammon Style Roast will satisfy even the most ardent meat-eater. As well as this, the Vegan Trimming Selection contains vegan stuffing balls and sausages wrapped in bacon, so you can enjoy all the traditional Christmas foods, without the cruelty.

Morrisons
Morrisons has really stepped up their vegan game in recent times, including their Christmas offerings. Their Plant Revolution range features some amazing Christmas food – including a Roast No Turkey Crown, Gammon Joint with Maple and Orange Glaze, No Pigs in Blankets, and a Beefless Wellington. For desserts and sweet things, they have ‘The Best’ Vegan Chocolate and Salted Caramel Cheesecake and Free From Mince Pies!

Aldi
Aldi has said that this year will feature their biggest and best vegan festive food range yet! For this year, they have introduced a No Beef Wellington, featuring vegan beef-style pieces and a creamy mushroom duxelle. In addition to this, their Plant Menu No Turkey Roast has made a return, which is a turkey-style roast wrapped in vegan bacon. For those who do not like meat-alternatives, Aldi also have a range of vegan nut roasts, which are also gluten-free. Aldi also have the trimmings covered, with their Plant Menu No Pigs in Blankets, Vegan Stuffing Balls, and Plant Menu Vegan Gravy.

This is just a selection of offerings from supermarkets this year. It has never been easier to be vegan, not least at Christmas time! Why not give them a try?
